Michael P. Dellova is the Senior Director for the North American Region at Willis Towers Watson.  Based in New York, his primary responsibility is oversight of all multinational cross border business within the global country network teams and directly accountable of inflow business for North America. Other key responsibilities include: the development of international best practices; strategies for production; profitability analysis; insurer relations and; market and industry intelligence. Michael is also very involved in associate recruitment, training and professional development.  

Relevant Experience/Specialization

Michael’s extensive experience in multinational risk & insurance has allowed him to work with a variety of industry specialties that include construction, manufacturing, real estate, financial institutions, hospitality, entertainment, chemicals, technology, non-governmental organizations, education and life sciences. His product line expertise encompasses global property, liability, terrorism, political risk, management liability, workers’ compensation and other casualty lines as well as captive management.  He also works extensively on due-diligence projects for merger & acquisition transactions, white papers concerning multinational risk & insurance issues, supply chain and advice on regulatory matters.  

Michael joined Willis Towers Watson in December 2005 and has over 32 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, Michael worked at Marsh & McLennan for 10 ½ years. His last position there was in the Property & International Practice as an International Team Leader. He began his career with Continental Insurance Corporation and was the Regional Casualty Claims Supervisor for the Risk Management Services Division, which specialized in advocacy, adjudication, reserve analysis and settlement strategies of claims generated by Global Fortune 1,000 clients.

Education and Credentials

Michael earned a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College of the City University of New York. He also holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from St. John’s University School of Arts & Sciences.

Michael’s professional affiliations include The Chatham House and the alumni associations for both St. John’s University and CUNY, which he serves as mentor and adjunct instructor. Michael was also recognized as a leading Global Power Broker by Risk & Insurance magazine in both 2009 and 2015.
