John is a French and German speaker and FCII with over 40 years’ experience in financial services gained from reinsurance, insurance, management consultancy and banking.

He began his career at Mercantile & General Reinsurance before working in management consultancy with Price Waterhouse, advising UK and European insurers on strategic and operational issues.

A period at Lloyd’s of London looking after various European representative offices was followed by a move to Lloyds Bank to support the merger of the insurance businesses of Lloyds and TSB.  After roles in Business and Commercial Banking he set up a consulting business and began working with Axco.

He is responsible for francophone markets in Europe and Africa.  The latter involves the markets that make up the CIMA zone (Inter-African Conference on Insurance Markets).

John lives in the Wye Valley and, when not travelling, enjoys various outdoor activities including hiking and playing golf.
